How to disable an app on a Verizon phone

Settings > Apps > (app) > Disable or Uninstall; the exact wording follows the phone's maker

ADB notes

Phones sold by Verizon carry Verizon's apps as system apps, so some only go with ADB. A few return after a carrier settings update. Phones bought unlocked from the maker carry fewer of them.
