How to disable an app on a AT&T phone

Settings > Apps > (app) > Disable or Uninstall; the exact wording follows the phone's maker

ADB notes

AT&T installs its apps as system apps on the phones it sells, so some can only be turned off with ADB, and a carrier settings update can bring one back. Unlocked phones bought from the maker carry fewer of them.
