Digital Secure was the security app Verizon preloaded on its Android phones, made by Asurion, the company that runs Verizon's device protection plans. It offered device security checks and privacy tools, with more features on a paid tier. Its Play listing under this package name is gone, and current Verizon phones carry Verizon Protect (com.securityandprivacy.android.verizon.vms) for security features and spam call controls.
Also shown as Verizon Digital Secure.
The app's scans and alerts stop. Google Play Protect keeps checking apps on the phone.
Settings offers Disable for this package on most phones. Open Settings > Apps > Digital Secure > Disable or Uninstall; the exact wording follows the phone's maker.
