AppDirectedSMS
A Verizon background service for app-directed texts, the hidden carrier messages meant for an app rather than your inbox.
Verizon package
A hidden Verizon service that ties the phone to Verizon account features; Pixel phones carry it even outside the US. You can disable it, with a caveat: read what stops working first.
My Verizon Services is a background component signed by Verizon, with no icon and no screen of its own. It supports Verizon account features on the phone and is built for phones running on a Verizon line. Google includes it in the Pixel system image for every market, so Pixel owners in other countries see it in the system app list too. Some phones label it Carrier Services, which is easy to mix up with Google's Carrier Services app (com.google.android.ims).
Also shown as Carrier Services.
On a Verizon line, community reports tie it to the mobile hotspot and to Verizon account features, so tethering may stop working. With another carrier's SIM, nothing you will notice.
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.verizon.mips.servicesTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.verizon.mips.servicesThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.verizon.mips.servicesRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.verizon.mips.servicesNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
Exchanges line and plan details with Verizon when a Verizon SIM is in the phone; Verizon has not published a description of what it sends.

Google ships one system image per Pixel model and it includes Verizon's components. They are built for Verizon lines and have little to do with any other SIM.
