My Verizon Services
A hidden Verizon service that ties the phone to Verizon account features; Pixel phones carry it even outside the US.
Verizon package
Verizon's account app for paying the bill, checking data use and changing your plan on phones Verizon sells. It is safe to disable: you lose nothing most people will miss.
My Verizon is the account app Verizon installs on the Android phones it sells. It shows your bill, data use, plan and devices, and it is where you pay, upgrade, add a line or block a number. The same app is listed on Google Play, so it updates through the Play Store like any other app. It checks in with Verizon in the background to refresh account alerts, which is why it can turn up in battery and data lists.
The account app disappears from the phone. You can still pay and manage everything at verizon.com, and calls, texts, data and voicemail keep working.
Settings offers Disable for this package on most phones. Open Settings > Apps > My Verizon > Disable or Uninstall; the exact wording follows the phone's maker.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.vzw.hss.myverizonTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.vzw.hss.myverizonThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.vzw.hss.myverizonRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.vzw.hss.myverizonNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
Signs in to your Verizon account and loads billing, usage and plan details for your lines from Verizon's servers.

No. It only manages the account. Your line keeps working, and verizon.com does everything the app does.
