What it does
This is the AT&T edition of Samsung's visual voicemail app on Galaxy phones sold by AT&T. It downloads voicemails from AT&T's mailbox and shows them in a list, so you can play, save and delete them directly. Galaxy phones from other carriers carry their own editions of the same app.
If you disable it
Visual voicemail stops on that phone. Voicemail itself still works when you call your mailbox.
How to disable it
Settings offers Disable for this package on most phones. Open Settings > Apps > Visual Voicemail > Disable or Uninstall; the exact wording follows the phone's maker.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.samsung.attvvmTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.samsung.attvvmThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.samsung.attvvmRestore after an uninstall
