AT&T package
An older Asurion app for AT&T's device protection plan, later replaced by the AT&T ProTech app. It is safe to disable: you lose nothing most people will miss.
AT&T Protect Plus was the companion app for AT&T's device protection and support plan, made by Asurion, the company that runs AT&T's device protection. It offered live tech support by chat or phone and help with claims. AT&T later replaced it with the AT&T ProTech app, and older AT&T phones may still carry it.
The app goes away. Your protection plan, if you have one, belongs to your account rather than to the app.
Settings offers Disable for this package on most phones. Open Settings > Apps > AT&T Protect Plus > Disable or Uninstall; the exact wording follows the phone's maker.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.asurion.android.mobilerecovery.attTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.asurion.android.mobilerecovery.attThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.asurion.android.mobilerecovery.attRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.asurion.android.mobilerecovery.attNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
