A discontinued AT&T setup helper, made by Synchronoss, that moved accounts and data to a new phone. It is safe to disable: you lose nothing most people will miss.

What it does

AT&T Ready2Go helped people set up a new AT&T Android phone by walking them through moving accounts, settings and data from the old handset. Synchronoss built it for AT&T. AT&T has discontinued the service, but phones from that period may still carry the package.

Also shown as AT&T Ready2Go.

If you disable it

Nothing; the service it connected to has ended.

How to disable it

Settings offers Disable for this package on most phones. Open Settings > Apps > Ready2Go > Disable or Uninstall; the exact wording follows the phone's maker.

Disable it (reversible)

adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.synchronoss.dcs.att.r2g

Turn it back on

adb shell pm enable com.synchronoss.dcs.att.r2g

The stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.

Uninstall for the main user

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.synchronoss.dcs.att.r2g

Restore after an uninstall

adb shell cmd package install-existing com.synchronoss.dcs.att.r2g

New to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.

Data and battery

Nothing beyond the app's own settings now that the service has ended.
