Joyose is a hidden Xiaomi service tied to performance tuning. Community testers describe it as fetching per-app profiles from Xiaomi and adjusting CPU, GPU and frame-rate behavior for games and other demanding apps, partly to manage heat. Some report it held games at 60 frames per second when a higher refresh rate was chosen. It runs in the background and checks in with Xiaomi's servers.
Xiaomi's per-game tuning stops, so games may run hotter or cooler and at different frame rates than before. Test your usual games after disabling it, and enable it again if the phone overheats.
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.xiaomi.joyoseTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.xiaomi.joyoseThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.xiaomi.joyoseRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.xiaomi.joyoseNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
Community testers report it downloads tuning profiles and reports which apps are running so the right profile applies; Xiaomi has not documented it publicly.
Often listed among background services that wake the phone; disabling it can change battery use while gaming in either direction.
