What it does

com.miui.misightservice is a diagnostics and telemetry service found on HyperOS phones, where Settings shows it under the odd label blur. Community testers describe it as collecting system diagnostics and sending small amounts of data to Xiaomi each day, and report that it has nothing to do with the blur effects in the interface. It runs in the background.

Also shown as MiSight.

If you disable it

Nothing you will notice; testers report no change to blur effects or other visuals after removing it.

How to disable it

On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.

Disable it (reversible)

adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.miui.misightservice

Turn it back on

adb shell pm enable com.miui.misightservice

The stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.

Uninstall for the main user

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.miui.misightservice

Restore after an uninstall

adb shell cmd package install-existing com.miui.misightservice

New to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
