What it does
Samsung Members is the support app on Galaxy phones. Its diagnostics run tests on the battery, sensors, cameras, speakers and connections, its error report screen sends logs to Samsung, and it hosts the Samsung community, news and promotions. Samsung publishes it on the Play Store and Galaxy Store and installs it on new phones as an ordinary app. It runs when you open it and when it fetches news or offers.
If you disable it
You lose Samsung's diagnostics tests and the in-app way to send error reports. Device Care's own diagnostics still work on Android 12 and later.
How to disable it
Settings offers Disable for this package on most phones. Open Settings > Apps > Samsung Members > Disable.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.samsung.android.vocTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.samsung.android.vocThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.samsung.android.vocRestore after an uninstall
