slocation
Samsung's location service that some Samsung apps use instead of Google's location services.
Samsung package
A Samsung location service that detects when you enter places such as stores to trigger place-based content. It is safe to disable: you lose nothing most people will miss.
Samsung Visit In uses geofences and indoor positioning signals to notice when the phone enters or leaves a place, so Samsung services can show content or notifications tied to that place. It has no screen and runs in the background when a location-based Samsung feature uses it. Samsung's application lists include it on Galaxy phones from Android 10, and device surveys show it on current models.
Also shown as IpsGeofence.
Place-based suggestions and notifications from Samsung services may stop. Maps and location in general are not affected.
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.samsung.android.ipsgeofenceTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.samsung.android.ipsgeofenceThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.samsung.android.ipsgeofenceRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.samsung.android.ipsgeofenceNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
Uses your location and nearby wireless signals to tell when you arrive at places.
