Samsung's Device Quality Agent, a background logger that reports device and connection quality data to Samsung. It is safe to disable: you lose nothing most people will miss.

What it does

DQA is a Samsung background agent that gathers quality information about the device, chiefly connection behavior, and reports it to Samsung to help find faults. It has no screen and runs on its own schedule. Samsung's application lists for Galaxy phones from Android 10 onward include it, and device surveys show it on current models.

Also shown as Device Quality Agent.

If you disable it

No visible feature is known to depend on it. Samsung loses some quality reports from your phone.

How to disable it

On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.

Disable it (reversible)

adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.samsung.android.dqagent

Turn it back on

adb shell pm enable com.samsung.android.dqagent

The stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.

Uninstall for the main user

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.samsung.android.dqagent

Restore after an uninstall
