Voice wake-up
The listener that waits for the Hi, Bixby phrase so Bixby can start hands-free on a Galaxy phone.
Samsung package
Samsung's voice assistant, opened by holding the side key or saying the wake phrase on Galaxy phones. It is safe to disable: you lose nothing most people will miss.

This is the main app behind Bixby, the voice assistant Samsung installs on Galaxy phones. It answers spoken commands, opens apps, changes settings and reads out results, and it needs a Samsung account to work. It starts when you hold the side key (if that key is set to Bixby), when Voice wake-up hears its phrase, or when another Samsung feature hands it a voice request. On phones where nobody uses it, it mostly sits idle apart from occasional updates from the Galaxy Store.
Also shown as Bixby Voice.
Voice commands to Bixby stop working, and holding the side key does nothing if it is still set to Bixby. Change the side key to the power-off menu first in Settings > Advanced features > Side button.
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.samsung.android.bixby.agentTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.samsung.android.bixby.agentThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.samsung.android.bixby.agentRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.samsung.android.bixby.agentNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
Spoken requests are sent to Samsung's servers for processing and are tied to your Samsung account; Samsung's Bixby privacy notice covers what is kept.
