Google package
Google's device management app that applies an employer's or school's security rules to a managed Android phone. You can disable it, with a caveat: read what stops working first.
Android Device Policy is the management app Google provides for Android Enterprise. When a phone or a work profile is enrolled by an organization, this app applies the rules the IT admin sets through the Android Management API: passcode rules, which apps may be installed, Wi-Fi and email setup, and remote lock or wipe. It also gives the managed profile access to managed Google Play. On a personal phone that no organization manages, it sits idle and does nothing.
On a phone or work profile managed by an employer or school, management stops and work apps and accounts can be locked or removed; the system usually refuses to disable it there. On a personal phone that is not enrolled, nothing changes.
Settings offers Disable for this package on most phones. Open Settings > Apps > See all apps > Android Device Policy > Disable.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.google.android.apps.work.clouddpcTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.google.android.apps.work.clouddpcThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.apps.work.clouddpcRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.google.android.apps.work.clouddpcNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
On a managed device it reports device identifiers and policy status to the organization's admin; on an unmanaged phone it collects nothing.
com.google.android.apps.work.clouddpc is Android Device Policy. Google's device management app that applies an employer's or school's security rules to a managed Android phone.
You can disable it, with a caveat: read what stops working first. You can do it from Settings or with ADB.
On a phone or work profile managed by an employer or school, management stops and work apps and accounts can be locked or removed; the system usually refuses to disable it there. On a personal phone that is not enrolled, nothing changes.
Some phones include it. Until an organization enrolls the phone or adds a work profile, it does nothing.
