com.android.backupconfirm
The confirmation screen Android shows before a full backup or restore made over ADB.
Android (AOSP) package
A backup transport that stores app backups on the device itself, used mainly by developers for testing. You can disable it, with a caveat: read what stops working first.
This package is Android's local backup transport, which saves app backup data to a folder on the device instead of sending it to a cloud service. Developers switch to it with the bmgr tool to test how their apps back up and restore, while everyday backups go through the cloud transport from Google or the phone maker. It has no app label, so Settings shows the package name.
Also shown as Local Transport.
Local backup testing with bmgr stops working. Public documentation shows no role in everyday cloud backups, but community lists rate removal as unsafe, so disable rather than uninstall.
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.android.localtransportTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.android.localtransportThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.localtransportRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.android.localtransportNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
Stores app backup data on the device when it is selected as the transport.
