T-Mobile package
T-Mobile's caller ID and scam-blocking app; the network-side Scam ID and Scam Block keep working without it. It is safe to disable: you lose nothing most people will miss.
T-Mobile Scam Shield is the app that controls T-Mobile's anti-scam features: Scam ID labels likely scam calls, Scam Block stops them before they ring, and caller ID shows names for unknown numbers. It grew out of T-Mobile's earlier Name ID app and kept that package name. T-Mobile preloads it on many phones and lists it on Google Play; newer T-Mobile help pages also place these controls in the T-Life app.
Also shown as T-Mobile Scam Shield, Name ID.
You lose the app's settings screen and call log. Scam labels come from T-Mobile's network, and Scam Block can be switched on by dialing #662#, so both keep working without the app.
Settings offers Disable for this package on most phones. Open Settings > Apps > Scam Shield > Disable or Uninstall; the exact wording follows the phone's maker.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.tmobile.services.nameidTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.tmobile.services.nameidThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.tmobile.services.nameidRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.tmobile.services.nameidNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
Checks incoming caller numbers against T-Mobile's scam data and reads your call log to show labeled calls.
