SecTrashProvider
Samsung's shared trash for Galaxy phones, holding files deleted from Gallery, My Files and Voice Recorder.
Samsung package
Samsung's file manager, which also powers storage management, the trash and SD card tools in Settings. You can disable it, with a caveat: read what stops working first.
My Files browses and manages files on the phone, on a memory card and in connected cloud storage. Galaxy phones also use it for parts of storage management in Settings, such as analyzing what fills the storage and unmounting or formatting an SD card, and for the trash that holds deleted files. Samsung updates it through the Play Store and Galaxy Store. It runs when you open it or when Settings calls its storage screens.
Also shown as Samsung My Files.
You lose Samsung's file manager, its trash and storage analysis, and the option to unmount or format an SD card from Settings. Google's Files app can browse files instead.
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.sec.android.app.myfilesTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.sec.android.app.myfilesThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.sec.android.app.myfilesRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.sec.android.app.myfilesNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
