My Files
Samsung's file manager, which also powers storage management, the trash and SD card tools in Settings.
Samsung package
Samsung's shared trash for Galaxy phones, holding files deleted from Gallery, My Files and Voice Recorder. You can disable it, with a caveat: read what stops working first.
SecTrashProvider keeps deleted files in a trash for a period before they are erased, so you can restore them. Gallery, My Files, Voice Recorder and other Samsung apps send deleted items to it, and My Files shows the combined trash. Community lists date it to One UI 6. It runs whenever a Samsung app deletes or restores a file.
Deleting from Samsung apps that use the trash may fail, and items already in the trash cannot be restored. Empty or restore the trash first.
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.samsung.android.providers.trashTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.samsung.android.providers.trashThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.samsung.android.providers.trashRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.samsung.android.providers.trashNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
