com.samsung.android.wifi.resources
A Samsung resource overlay that holds the Wi-Fi configuration values used by Android's Wi-Fi service.
Samsung package
A Samsung resource overlay that adjusts Android's network stack module, which handles IP setup and connectivity checks. Keep it: NetworkStackOverlay is needed for the phone, its updates or its security.
Android's Network Stack module handles getting an IP address, checking whether a network actually reaches the internet and detecting sign-in pages on public Wi-Fi. This Samsung package is a resource overlay for that module: it carries Samsung's settings for how those checks behave on Galaxy phones, without code of its own. It is part of the system image on current Galaxy models and is active whenever the network stack runs.
The network stack falls back to stock Android settings or misbehaves, which can show up as Wi-Fi or mobile data connection problems. Community lists rate it unsafe to remove.
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.samsung.android.networkstackTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.samsung.android.networkstackThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.samsung.android.networkstackRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.samsung.android.networkstackNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
Nothing of its own; it only supplies configuration values to the network stack.
