Supplies stickers, GIFs and other media content to the Samsung Keyboard on older Galaxy phones. It is safe to disable: you lose nothing most people will miss.

What it does

Keyboard Content Center provides the extra content panels in the Samsung Keyboard, such as stickers, GIFs and sometimes music or partner content, downloading them as needed. Samsung's application lists for Android 10 label it this way, and device surveys find it mainly on older models. It runs when the keyboard opens one of those panels.

If you disable it

Sticker and GIF panels in the Samsung Keyboard may be empty. Typing is unaffected.

How to disable it

On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.

Disable it (reversible)

adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.samsung.android.icecone

Turn it back on

adb shell pm enable com.samsung.android.icecone

The stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.

Uninstall for the main user

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.samsung.android.icecone

Restore after an uninstall

adb shell cmd package install-existing com.samsung.android.icecone

New to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.

Data and battery

Downloads stickers and GIFs from Samsung's content partners when you browse them.
