The clipboard panel for Samsung's Edge panels, which keeps recent copied text and images within reach. It is safe to disable: you lose nothing most people will miss.

What it does

Clipboard edge is an Edge panel that shows items you recently copied, so you can paste them again from the side of the screen. Samsung ships it on Galaxy phones, and device surveys show the package on current models. It runs when you open the panel and when it records a new clipboard item.

If you disable it

The clipboard panel disappears from Edge panels. Copy and paste keep working normally.

How to disable it

On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.

Disable it (reversible)

adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.samsung.android.app.clipboardedge

Turn it back on

adb shell pm enable com.samsung.android.app.clipboardedge

The stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.

Uninstall for the main user

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.samsung.android.app.clipboardedge

Restore after an uninstall

adb shell cmd package install-existing com.samsung.android.app.clipboardedge

New to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
