OnePlus Account

The OnePlus Account sign-in on OnePlus phones, used for the Community, Store, membership and other OnePlus services. You can disable it, with a caveat: read what stops working first.

What it does

OnePlus Account signs the phone in to OnePlus services such as the OnePlus Community, Store and membership programs, and verifies sign-ins by text message or call. OnePlus documents it under Users & accounts in Settings. It runs in the background while you are signed in.

If you disable it

Sign-in to OnePlus services stops, so the Community, Store and membership apps cannot use your account. The phone and your Google account keep working.

How to disable it

On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.

adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.oneplus.account

adb shell pm enable com.oneplus.account

The stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.oneplus.account

adb shell cmd package install-existing com.oneplus.account
