What it does
Device Help is Motorola's support app. It runs a device health check on some models, offers how-to guides, troubleshooting tips and hardware tests, shows your warranty status, sells Moto Care protection in the US and connects you to support by chatbot on some models. It runs when you open it.
Also shown as Moto Help.
If you disable it
The support app goes away. Motorola support remains reachable through its website.
How to disable it
Settings offers Disable for this package on most phones. Open Settings > Apps > See all apps > Device Help > Disable.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.motorola.genieTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.motorola.genieThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.motorola.genieRestore after an uninstall
