Motorola Software Update
Motorola's system updater, which checks for, downloads and installs Android and security updates on Moto phones.
Motorola package
An undocumented core package of Motorola's cloud services family, shipped beside the updater and Motorola Notifications. You can disable it, with a caveat: read what stops working first.
Motorola Services Main is a background package in the same family as Motorola Software Update, Device Management and Motorola Notifications. Its name suggests it is the main service shared by those packages, but Motorola has not documented it. Community testers report no noticeable change after removing it.
Community testers report nothing visible. Because it sits beside the updater, enable it again if system updates or Motorola Notifications stop working.
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.motorola.ccc.mainplmTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.motorola.ccc.mainplmThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.motorola.ccc.mainplmRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.motorola.ccc.mainplmNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
Not documented by Motorola; the Motorola privacy policy covers device data its services collect.
