Motorola package
Motorola's retail demo mode, which runs looping showcase content on store display phones. It is safe to disable: you lose nothing most people will miss.
Demo mode puts a Moto phone into the showcase state used on store shelves, playing promotional content and resetting itself between shoppers. It follows Android's retail demo mode, which phone makers use for display units. On a phone you own it never activates unless a store or tester turns it on.
Nothing you will notice on a personal phone.
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.motorola.demoTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.motorola.demoThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.motorola.demoRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.motorola.demoNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
Nothing beyond its own demo content.
com.motorola.demo is Demo mode. Motorola's retail demo mode, which runs looping showcase content on store display phones.
It is safe to disable: you lose nothing most people will miss. On most phones it takes ADB.
