What it does

com.miui.thirdappassistant is a Xiaomi helper that notices when a third-party app crashes, freezes or misbehaves and offers suggestions or a way to report the problem to Xiaomi. Its label varies by language, which is why Settings may show a translated assistant name. It runs in the background when apps fail.

If you disable it

Xiaomi's prompts about misbehaving third-party apps stop. Android's own crash dialogs still appear.

How to disable it

On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.

adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.miui.thirdappassistant

adb shell pm enable com.miui.thirdappassistant

The stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.miui.thirdappassistant

adb shell cmd package install-existing com.miui.thirdappassistant
