Xiaomi's App vault, the card panel to the left of the home screen with shortcuts, widgets, notes and news. It is safe to disable: you lose nothing most people will miss.
What it does
App vault is the panel you reach by swiping right from the first home screen on global Xiaomi phones. It shows cards for shortcuts, steps, notes, calendar, cricket or football scores and partner news, plus widget suggestions. Xiaomi says the shortcuts and widget suggestions are worked out on the phone, while partner cards load content online. It refreshes its cards in the background.
If you disable it
The left home screen panel goes blank or disappears. You can also just switch it off in the home screen settings.
How to disable it
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.mi.globalminusscreenTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.mi.globalminusscreenThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.mi.globalminusscreenRestore after an uninstall

Data and battery
Xiaomi lists product interaction, crash and performance data, with the advertising ID collected only by some partner cards, kept for 90 days.
Refreshes partner cards in the background; turning the panel off in home screen settings stops that.
