The LinkedIn professional networking app, preinstalled with Microsoft's apps on recent Galaxy phones. It is safe to disable: you lose nothing most people will miss.

What it does

LinkedIn is Microsoft's professional networking service for profiles, job listings and messages. Samsung includes it with the Microsoft apps on recent Galaxy phones, and 2026 reviews of the Galaxy S26 and S26 Ultra list it among the preinstalled apps. It is published on the Play Store. It runs when opened and when it checks for notifications after you sign in.

If you disable it

Nothing beyond the app itself.

How to disable it

Settings offers Disable for this package on most phones. Open Settings > Apps > LinkedIn > Disable.

Disable it (reversible)

adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.linkedin.android

Turn it back on

adb shell pm enable com.linkedin.android

The stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.

Uninstall for the main user

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.linkedin.android

Restore after an uninstall

adb shell cmd package install-existing com.linkedin.android

New to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.

Data and battery

Once you sign in, it syncs your LinkedIn activity and notifications with LinkedIn's servers.
