Meta Services, formerly Facebook Services, is a background component Meta supplies with its preinstalled apps on Galaxy phones. Meta has not published a detailed description for phone owners, and community lists describe it as a helper for Meta apps. It has no screen and runs in the background.
Also shown as Facebook Services.
No feature outside Meta's apps is known to depend on it.
Settings offers Disable for this package on most phones. Open Settings > Apps > Meta Services > Disable.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.facebook.servicesTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.facebook.servicesThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.facebook.servicesRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.facebook.servicesNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
