Health Connect is part of the Android Health Mainline module, built into Android 14 and later and offered as a separate app on older versions. It keeps health and fitness records such as steps, sleep, heart rate and workouts in one store on the phone and lets you decide which apps may read or write each type. You reach it from Settings, and fitness apps call it when they sync.
Fitness and health apps can no longer share data through Health Connect, and its screens in Settings stop opening. Data already stored stays on the phone.
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.google.android.healthconnect.controllerTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.google.android.healthconnect.controllerThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
