OPPO Share

OPPO Share, the nearby file transfer between OPPO, OnePlus and some other Android phones over a direct Wi-Fi link. You can disable it, with a caveat: read what stops working first.

What it does

OPPO Share sends photos, videos and files to nearby OPPO and OnePlus phones and, through a shared standard, to some other Android brands, using a direct Wi-Fi link instead of mobile data. It appears in the share sheet and in Quick Settings. Community testers report that the Photos app's direct sharing and the share prompt after a screenshot rely on it. It listens for nearby devices only while turned on.

If you disable it

OPPO Share transfers stop, and community testers report that sharing straight from Photos and the share prompt after a screenshot break. Google's Quick Share keeps working.

How to disable it

On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.

adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.coloros.oshare

adb shell pm enable com.coloros.oshare

The stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.coloros.oshare

adb shell cmd package install-existing com.coloros.oshare
