The Android screen for previewing and applying animated live wallpapers. It is safe to disable: you lose nothing most people will miss.
What it does
Live Wallpaper Picker is the Android component that lists installed live wallpapers, shows a preview and applies the one you choose. Wallpaper apps and the phone's own wallpaper settings hand off to it when you pick an animated wallpaper. It runs only while you are choosing.
If you disable it
You may not be able to set a new live wallpaper; a live wallpaper already in use keeps running, and still images are unaffected.
How to disable it
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.android.wallpaper.livepickerTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.android.wallpaper.livepickerThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.wallpaper.livepickerRestore after an uninstall
