What it does
Android Easter Egg holds the small hidden game or animation that appears when you tap Android version several times in the About phone settings. Each Android release ships a different one, and some versions add a quick settings tile or widget. It runs only when you open it.
If you disable it
The hidden easter egg no longer opens. Nothing else depends on it.
How to disable it
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.android.eggTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.android.eggThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.eggRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.android.eggNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
