What it does
T-Mobile Visual Voicemail downloads voicemails into an inbox on the phone, so you can play, save or delete them without dialing your mailbox. T-Mobile offers it on Android only, preloads it on many devices and lists it on Google Play. The paid Voicemail to Text feature shows its transcripts in the same app.

If you disable it
Visual voicemail stops on phones that rely on this app; voicemail still works by calling your mailbox. Back up anything you saved inside the app first, because clearing or removing its data deletes messages kept only there.
How to disable it
Settings offers Disable for this package on most phones. Open Settings > Apps > Visual Voicemail > Disable or Uninstall; the exact wording follows the phone's maker.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.tmobile.vvm.applicationTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.tmobile.vvm.applicationThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
