Samsung's call settings screens, including SIM manager, call blocking, voicemail and caller ID options. Keep it: Call settings is needed for the phone, its updates or its security.

What it does

Call settings provides the settings pages for calling on Galaxy phones, opened from the Phone app's menu: call blocking, voicemail, answering and ending calls, Wi-Fi Calling and supplementary services, as well as the SIM manager screens. Samsung's Galaxy Store lists it under this name. It runs when those screens are opened.

If you disable it

Call settings and the SIM manager stop opening, so you cannot change blocking, voicemail or SIM options.

How to disable it

On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.

Disable it (reversible)

adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.samsung.android.app.telephonyui

Turn it back on

adb shell pm enable com.samsung.android.app.telephonyui

The stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.

Uninstall for the main user

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.samsung.android.app.telephonyui

Restore after an uninstall

adb shell cmd package install-existing com.samsung.android.app.telephonyui

New to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
