Samsung's Adapt sound feature that tunes calls and media to your hearing with an age preset or a short hearing test. It is safe to disable: you lose nothing most people will miss.
What it does
Adapt sound adjusts audio on a Galaxy phone to suit your ears. You pick an age-based preset or take a hearing test with headphones, and the phone then shapes calls and media playback, and on some models the sound from hearing enhancement features, to match. It is found under Sound quality and effects or in the hearing accessibility settings, and it applies your profile whenever audio plays.
If you disable it
Your personalized Adapt sound profile stops applying to calls and media. Other sound settings keep working.
How to disable it
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.sec.hearingadjustTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.sec.hearingadjustThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.sec.hearingadjustRestore after an uninstall
