Samsung setup wizard
Samsung's own setup steps for new or reset Galaxy phones, also used when adding an eSIM.
Samsung package
A setup screen package that runs the first-start steps on some Galaxy models, mainly carrier versions. You can disable it, with a caveat: read what stops working first.
Setup Wizard guides you through the first start of a phone after purchase or a factory reset, alongside Samsung's own setup steps. Device surveys show this package on only a few Galaxy profiles, mostly US carrier models, where it can also show carrier notices. After setup it does nothing until the phone is reset.
Nothing during normal use after setup. A factory reset re-enables it, so first-time setup still works.
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.sec.android.app.setupwizardTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.sec.android.app.setupwizardThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.sec.android.app.setupwizardRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.sec.android.app.setupwizardNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
Nothing after setup is finished.
