KPECore
Core service for Knox Platform for Enterprise, the Samsung licence layer that device-management tools use.
Samsung package
Samsung's device-management agent that applies company or school policies through Knox on managed Galaxy phones. You can disable it, with a caveat: read what stops working first.
MDMApp is a Samsung Knox component that carries out device-management policies on Galaxy phones. When an employer, school or device management service manages the phone, it applies restrictions such as blocking features, setting lock-screen branding or configuring email. On a personal phone that nobody manages it has nothing to do. Samsung preinstalls it on Galaxy devices for Knox support.
On a personal phone nothing noticeable changes. On a phone managed by an employer or school, policies may stop applying and the management service can flag the phone as non-compliant.
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.samsung.android.mdmTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.samsung.android.mdmThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.samsung.android.mdmRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.samsung.android.mdmNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
Acts on instructions from the management service you or your organization enrolled; on an unmanaged phone it sends nothing.
