Battery

The Battery settings and power manager on OnePlus and OPPO phones, with usage stats, power saving and charging care. Keep it: Battery is needed for the phone, its updates or its security.

What it does

Battery provides Settings > Battery on ColorOS and OxygenOS: battery usage by app, power saving mode, optimized charging, battery health and per-app background limits. OnePlus documents these options in its user manual. It runs constantly to track usage and apply the limits you set.

If you disable it

The Battery settings page, power saving mode, optimized charging and app battery limits stop working, and community testers link it to thermal and charging behavior.

How to disable it

On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.

adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.oplus.battery

adb shell pm enable com.oplus.battery

The stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.oplus.battery

adb shell cmd package install-existing com.oplus.battery
