OnePlus Notes for text, pictures, checklists and reminders, with sharing and pinned notes. You can disable it, with a caveat: read what stops working first.

What it does

Notes is the OnePlus note-taking app for text, pictures, voice input, doodles and to-do lists, with reminders, pinned notes and sharing as text or pictures. OnePlus documents it in its manual. It runs when opened and to deliver note reminders.

If you disable it

Notes saved in it become unreachable until you enable it again, and note reminders stop. Export or share anything you need first.

How to disable it

On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.

adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.oneplus.note

adb shell pm enable com.oneplus.note

The stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.oneplus.note

adb shell cmd package install-existing com.oneplus.note

Data and battery

Stores your notes on the phone; they leave it only if you share them or turn on a cloud sync option.
