The Recorder app on OPPO and recent OnePlus phones for voice memos, with playback, renaming and sharing. It is safe to disable: you lose nothing most people will miss.
What it does
Recorder captures voice memos and other audio, and lets you play, rename, trim and share recordings. OnePlus documents it as the recording and playback app in its manual. It runs while recording, including in the background if you leave the app.
If you disable it
The Recorder app goes away. Saved recordings remain in storage and play in other apps; check whether your phone's call recording uses it before disabling.
How to disable it
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.coloros.soundrecorderTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.coloros.soundrecorderThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.coloros.soundrecorderRestore after an uninstall
