Google Partner Setup is a background package Google includes with its apps on licensed Android phones. Google has not documented it publicly. Community analysis links it to configuration agreed between Google and the phone maker or carrier, and to letting apps interact with Google account data, and it wakes briefly in the background from time to time. It has no icon or user settings.
Community testers report no visible change after weeks with it disabled, but because it is undocumented, re-enable it if Google apps or setup behave oddly.
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.google.android.partnersetupTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.google.android.partnersetupThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.partnersetupRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.google.android.partnersetupNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
Google has not documented what it reads or sends; it has no user-facing data of its own.
