Bluetooth
The Bluetooth system app in Google's Bluetooth Mainline module, which runs every Bluetooth connection on the phone.
Android (AOSP) package
The Android Bluetooth service that pairs and connects headphones, cars, watches and other Bluetooth devices. Keep it: Bluetooth is needed for the phone, its updates or its security.
Bluetooth is the Android system app that runs the Bluetooth stack: pairing, audio streaming, calls through headsets and cars, file sharing, contact and message access for cars, and Bluetooth Low Energy links to watches and trackers. On phones with Google apps running Android 13 and later it may be replaced by Google's build, com.google.android.bluetooth, from the Bluetooth Mainline module. It runs whenever Bluetooth is on.
Bluetooth stops working entirely, so headphones, cars, watches and hearing aids cannot connect.
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.android.bluetoothTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.android.bluetoothThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.bluetoothRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.android.bluetoothNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
Keeps the list of paired devices and shares contacts or messages with a car only when you allow it during pairing.
