Autofill with Samsung Pass
Lets Samsung Pass fill saved usernames and passwords into other apps through Android's autofill service.
Samsung package
Samsung's password manager that signs you in to apps and websites with your fingerprint or face on a Galaxy phone. You can disable it, with a caveat: read what stops working first.
Samsung Pass stores sign-in details, addresses and cards and lets you confirm them with a fingerprint or face scan instead of typing a password. It works with Samsung Browser and supported apps, syncs saved sign-ins between Galaxy devices on the same Samsung account, and in some regions has been folded into Samsung Wallet. Samsung says the biometric data stays on the phone. It runs when an app or website asks for a saved sign-in.
Saved sign-ins in Samsung Pass become unreachable until it is enabled again, and biometric sign-in to Samsung Browser and supported apps stops. Export or move your passwords first if you rely on it.
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.samsung.android.samsungpassTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.samsung.android.samsungpassThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.samsung.android.samsungpassRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.samsung.android.samsungpassNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
