This is the engine underneath Bixby Vision, Samsung's camera-based recognition feature. The Camera, Gallery and Samsung Browser apps call it when you open a Bixby Vision lens to translate a sign, pull text from a photo, identify an object or use the accessibility lenses that describe a scene. It has no screen of its own and only runs when one of those apps asks for it. Samsung preinstalls it on most Galaxy phones and tablets.
Bixby Vision lenses stop opening in Camera, Gallery and Samsung Browser, including the scene describer and text reader lenses some people rely on for low vision.
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.samsung.android.bixbyvision.frameworkTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.samsung.android.bixbyvision.frameworkThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.samsung.android.bixbyvision.frameworkRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.samsung.android.bixbyvision.frameworkNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
