What it does
Screen recording captures the screen with system sound, microphone audio or a front-camera overlay, at the quality and frame rate you choose. OnePlus documents starting it from Quick Settings, and OPPO adds the Smart Sidebar and Games as other ways in. It runs only while a recording is set up or in progress.
If you disable it
The Screen recording tile and the recorder in Games stop working. Third-party screen recorders still work.
How to disable it
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.oplus.screenrecorderTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.oplus.screenrecorderThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.oplus.screenrecorderRestore after an uninstall
