Screen recording
The screen recorder on OnePlus and OPPO phones, started from Quick Settings, the Smart Sidebar or Games.
OPPO package
The Games hub on OnePlus and OPPO phones, with a game library, in-game toolbox, performance modes and notification blocking. It is safe to disable: you lose nothing most people will miss.
Games collects your installed games in one place and adds an in-game toolbox you pull down from a top corner, with performance modes, notification styles, call handling, screen recording and on-screen stats. It replaced OnePlus Game Space after OnePlus moved to the shared OPPO codebase. It runs when a game starts and occasionally in the background to spot new games.
Also shown as Game Space, OnePlus Games.
The Games library, the in-game toolbox and gaming performance modes go away. Games themselves install and run normally.
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.oplus.gamesTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.oplus.gamesThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.oplus.gamesRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.oplus.gamesNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
Reads which installed apps are games and records play time; the Explore and Reviews sections load content online.
