Xiaomi's shared code library that MIUI and HyperOS apps build on, including parts of Settings search. You can disable it, with a caveat: read what stops working first.

What it does

System SDK is a shared library that Xiaomi's own apps and Settings load for common functions, such as interface pieces, update helpers and parts of Xiaomi's statistics plumbing. It has no screen of its own. Community testers found that disabling it caused no visible change on MIUI 13 and 14, while uninstalling it made Settings search crash.

Also shown as MIUI SDK.

If you disable it

Uninstalling it makes searching in Settings crash. Disabling showed no visible effect in community tests, but its effect on updates is unknown, so enable it again before a system update.

How to disable it

On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.

Disable it (reversible)

adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.miui.core

Turn it back on

adb shell pm enable com.miui.core

The stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.

Uninstall for the main user

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.miui.core

Restore after an uninstall

adb shell cmd package install-existing com.miui.core

New to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
