Android Services Library
A Mainline module that runs core background services such as notification ranking, smart text selection and autofill matching.
Google package
A code library package that other system components, chiefly the Android Services Library, load while they run. Keep it: Android Shared Library is needed for the phone, its updates or its security.
Android Shared Library is a small library package with no screens or services of its own. It declares the android.ext.shared library, which other system packages, chiefly the ExtServices module, load to share code, and it is marked as a core app that is available early during boot. Phones with Google apps carry Google's build under this com.google.android name, while the open source version is called android.ext.shared.
Packages that load it can fail to start, and community lists warn that removing it can cause a boot loop. There is nothing to gain from disabling it.
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.google.android.ext.sharedTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.google.android.ext.sharedThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.ext.sharedRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.google.android.ext.sharedNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
Nothing beyond its own code; it stores no user data.

Keep it: Android Shared Library is needed for the phone, its updates or its security. On most phones it takes ADB.
